Terry Gardner is a Portfolio Manager and Investment Advisor at C.J. Lawrence Investment Management, a division of Apollon Wealth Management, where he manages client portfolios and leads the investment strategy process for CJL’s American Renaissance thematic portfolio.  With over 30 years of investing and securities analysis experience, Terry is a member of CJL’s Investment Committee which implements the firm’s Bulldog-equity stock selection process.

Prior to CJL, he provided proprietary research and strategic advice to companies in the institutional and wealth management industries via his own firm, Gardner Capital. He also held senior positions at ITG Investment Research and Soleil Securities Group. From 2005 until 2008, he served as President of S-2 Research, Inc., a proprietary research firm, and as COO for XTF Global Asset Management, a manager of portfolios of Exchange Traded Funds.

From 1994 until 2005 Terry served in various management and analytical roles at CJ Lawrence Inc., later acquired and renamed Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc., where he trained under legendary investment strategist, James Moltz.  He later served as Associate Director (AdoR) of North American Equity Research and Chief Operating Officer for Deutsche Bank’s Global Equities Research Division.

Prior to his management roles, Terry was an Equity Research Analyst covering the Transportation sector, where he was recognized as the #1 ranked analyst by the Wall Street Journal’s All-Star Analyst Survey.  Terry began his Wall Street career in 1993 at Alex.Brown and Sons as an Associate Research Analyst covering transportation and logistics companies.

From 1988 to 1993, he served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps.  Terry is a graduate of St. Lawrence University with a B.A. in Economics.  He serves as a Director on the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation Board and on the Programs Committee for Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Inc. (ACLD).
