Paul Kehoe

Paul J. Kehoe joined CJL in 2021 as a Managing Director and Senior Analyst. Paul is a highly experienced investor and former investment banker with over 30-years of experience in the power generation and alternative energy sectors. He was a former senior analyst hired by Ken Griffin at Citadel and worked on the private equity side as an investor in both healthcare-IT and alternative energy opportunities. Paul began his career in 1986 as a senior auditor at Peat Marwick & Main before transitioning to investment banking at Merrill Lynch in 1989. He moved to Smith Barney in 1992 as a Senior Banker in the utilities sector. In 1998 he was hired by Wasserstein Perella LLC to build their Power & Utility M&A advisory business. At Wasserstein Perella he was the Advisor to Unicom on its $18.2 billion merger with PECO Energy and Exelon’s $2.2 billion acquisition of Illinois Power among others.

Paul is a thought leader in the Energy Sector, with over 130 articles published and more than 1 million page-views online. His skill-set is highly complementary to CJL’s focus on global investment ideas in many of the new growth areas the our investment team has identified including power generation, next-generation semiconductors, alternative energy, battery technologies and crypto currencies.

Paul is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine, Portland and a New York native.
